audition night information
Wednesday, May 8th and Thursday, May9th, 2024
OLD Marine City MIDDLE School Media Center
6373 King Rd, Township of Cottrellville, MI 48039
1) If you are confirmed in the program, you have the OPTION to have your student audition for a lead or supporting role.
ALL students in the program will receive a role (ensemble) in the show, regardless of auditioning. If your student does not want to audition, that is perfectly fine. Our program aims to keep the stress levels as LOW as possible.
2) Parents are NOT allowed in the audition room. We have a wonderful panel of students, including our director, Scout, who will make this a FUN experience. (Again, this is a LOW-STRESS program.)
3) Be sure to have signed up for audition time. This is the only way to be seen by our audition panel. You can sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E0F4AA5A628A2F49-48322655-play#/
When you arrive, please enter through the OLD Marine City MIDDLE School entrance (using the loop driveway or parking lot off of KING ROAD.) Signs will on the door. Someone will be there to greet you.
4) NEW!! We plan to meet with leads for some brief, pre-camp rehearsals BEFORE camp begins to get a head start. We will have these possible dates at auditions.
5) Even if you are not auditioning, you can stop by and grab a copy of the script. This is NOT mandatory. If you have outstanding payments, we'd ask you to stop by and pay your balance.
6) Remember it is NOT about the role. This is how I have run my high school theater program for the past twenty-three years.
Our camp is NOT about the show. It is about building confidence, making friends, using each person´s unique creativity.
A portion of our camp will be theater games and team-buidling games. It is IMPORTANT that families know this. We are about the STUDENT having FUN. THIS is our PRIORITY over everything else.
6) We have a waitlist. We will need ANY oustanding payment for the camp dropped off to Jay McCulloch (I am the official GREETER that night.)
Our waiting list is growing rapidly.
7) We will post assigned roles by Monday, May 13th, 2024 (if not sooner) and send a link to the posting via REMIND. All parents/guardians MUST be in the REMIND. This is how we will relay important information. (Text @playatpac to the number 81010.)
